ABOUT ME
Hi, my name is Christina!
Welcome to West Coast Weather Services located in the beautiful Okanagan in southern British Columbia. I’ve been a meteorologist for over 20 years with the bulk of my experience in aviation and fire weather, but have accommodated a wide range of industries by shifting focus based on client needs and general meteorological experience. I left Environment Canada in the spring of 2014 and shifted to private work, and with a continuously growing demand for weather forecasting services in the face of a shifting world I also have access to a small team of meteorologists that bring decades of experience with them. While our focus is mainly British Columbia, we have experience writing forecasts through western Canada and the Arctic as well!
When I’m not busy writing forecasts I enjoy spending time with my son traveling and playing video games, and am also an artist with my favorite mediums being water colors and digital art. My art passion also extends to the fiber arts of crochet, knitting, weaving and macramé. You can find my art on Instagram @christinamarie.art!
